The Bridgewater Volunteer Fire Department provides fire, rescue, and EMS services to the town of Bridgewater, Connecticut. The BFD serves the Town of Bridgewater with two fire engines, two tankers, one brush fire unit, one rescue boat, and one BLS ambulance. We hope to update our friends and supporters about department events and interesting calls through Facebook and on Twitter, @BridgewaterFire.
The department is funded by generous donations and the Bridgewater Fair. The Town of Bridgewater also supports the department with providing the town's paramedic service, 911 service, and our workman's comp.
The fire department is staffed by volunteer firefighters and EMT's. We are in the building Thursday nights at 7pm for training and apparatus maintenance.
Bridgewater Fire Department Women's Auxiliary
The Bridgewater Fire Department Women's Auxiliary welcomes new members. We are always looking for women to join us in our volunteer work. Our main goal is to raise money to support the fire department and ambulance. We do this through several fundraisers including: Fall Townwide Tag Sale, Wine & Beer Tasting and the Bridgewater Fair.
You do not have to be a member or relative of a member of the Bridgewater Fire Department in order to join. Feel free to sit in on one of our meetings at the Bridgewater Firehouse 7:00 pm on the third Monday of each month from March to December.
