Revaluation Connecticut mandates that each town "Revalue" their property every five years. Assessments remain the same until the next revaluation unless changes are made to the property or errors are discovered. Notice of your new Real Estate assessments have been mailed. When you receive your notice, please review your assessment; if you have any questions you may request an appointment with a representative from Vision Government Solutions the Revaluation Company. The company’s phone number will be on your notice. Appointments are only made through the company. If you wish to schedule an appointment, please call as soon as you receive your notice. If you still wish to contest your assessment after you meet with the Revaluation Company, you can meet with the Board of Assessment Appeals. The application to meet with the Board will be available in the Assessor’s office February 1st and are due back by February 20th. The new assessment will affect the tax bill due July 1, 2012.
