The mission of the Bridgewater Recreation Commission is provide and advocate for affordable recreational opportunities and access to well-maintained recreational areas and equipment. The Bridgewater Recreation Commission cooperates with public and private partners and correlates its offerings with other community organizations to promote a healthy lifestyle, good sportsmanship, and a strong sense of community for Bridgewater residents.

ZUMBA FITNESS®. MOVING THE WORLD TO A NEW BEAT.

Are you ready to party yourself into shape? That’s exactly what the Zumba® program is all about. It’s an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance fitness-party™ that’s moving millions of people toward joy and health.

TANG SOO DO KARATE for Adults / Children                  
Learn the skills of Tang Soo Do Karate from Black Belt instructor Lorraine Dunn-Laranetto of Bridgewater Karate.  Classes are taught in a safe and positive environment with special attention given to developing a student's discipline, focus, and self-control.   Open to all ages / levels.  Parents are encouraged to join with their children.

REGISTER NOW FOR THE SPRING SHEPAUG BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL SEASON

Registration for all Shepaug Baseball and Softball programs has begun and will take place through February 29th.  Any registration received after that will be charged  $25 late fee and only accepted if there is room in the program.  Children born on April 30, 2007 and earlier are eligible to participate.

The Recreation Commission seeks volunteers to advocate for targeted areas of recreation. You can help! We can offer so much more with your effort and experience. Volunteers with interests in the following areas (or suggest your own!) sought for special interest committees:

 
 Fishing derby/Pond Tennis Trail Days  River Festival 
 Trunk or Treat Baseball Playground      
 Summer Camp Basketball        Road Race 
 Pedestrian Pathways      Soccer Swimming
